Internet can be an useful source of information, a place where we can spend time usefully, a place that should be accessed only under a teacher’s supervision, in secure conditions.
The nature of my profession urges me to watch sometimes life through the eyes of my students. In this regard, the Internet means to us firstly e-learning, a system of virtual education, carried at a distance, through the exchange of information and education materials. Of course, education must be adapted regarding children’s ages in order to stimulate their interest and to achieve the goals we are setted out to gain. In my opinion, this implies both some elements of game and good information about life and activities of children from everywhere.
The most beautiful, original and, in the same time, funny activities are those made in the eTwinning projects. Students have found several information about history, culture and civilization of other nationalities, but also elements of the traditions specific their religious holidays. All of these things would not have any charm if they would not have been completed with learning, or composing songs for children, making drawings, collages and works on practical, or learning, skills and using several games. I participated, with old students, in projects with religious themes, which were supposed to illustrate parables, the elements of genesis such as: Across The Bible Across Europe, Singing and Joy and Water for life and Nowadays and projects which have assumed activities of documentation regarding the history of the school, of the area and of the local customs and traditions: My school through time, Our countries, kids and their lives, To be a European citizen in the city, We wait Christmas together!, and projects, where amusement was the main element a specially  when they drew, sang, had imitated sounds of favorite animals and manufactured glasses and hats or crests models as in: Anim'all, 1,2,3,4 or Happy faces.
Through the British Council’s website we got to know a school in the UK - Toternhoe Lower School - a school the is well-known for performing many charitable and environmental activities, with whom we worked developing documentation activities regarding climate, autumn festivals, and desired to learn more and more words in Romanian. With the help of this same site, we came to understand the habits of children from Lourenço Castanho School of Sao Paulo in Brazil and, through pictures and letters, a school from Spain - Thalassa Montgat. Children in Spain have created a panel, in their school, with received letters from us and another school from Poland.
Internet came into my student’s life also with the help of  holiday activities which have been held in the e-Holiday 2007 project and 2008 project, in partnership with the "Stefan cel Mare" School from Piscu-Galaţi town, school with classes from I to VIII of Chicerea- Tomeşti and the "Titu Maiorescu" School – structure "Tudor Arghezi" Iaşi: activities of accessing the Internet, the websites for kids with games, cartoons and information from, online encyclopedias, movies from the world of animals, activities and outdoor games, to computer.
Also though online communication, children participated in competitions of drawings and essays, and they were rewarded with prizes. These competitions have been held both in Romania and in Hungary, Germany and Bulgary.
I tried to illustrate just a few of the positive effects that the Internet can bring in children’s lives, when they receive the guidance of us, the adults, those who must use e-learning in shaping the personalities of students, selecting or developing the potential of each child .
